Englewood Fishing Derby Trophy Winner Marvin Andrus
On October 3rd – October 5th the Englewood community will host our 3rd Annual Fishing Derby. For this year and in order to give more people chance to attend we have decided to make our Derby a weekend event. It is to be hosted at the Vedder River Campground along the banks of the picturesque Vedder river and will be especially great because we will be welcoming new residents of the “Platinum 1” condo building to our fantastic Englewood community.
Gates will open at the RV site at 8am Friday for our Englewood RVers to set up and our fisher people to register. The weekend promises to be an exciting time for all our residents and their family’s. We shall have horse shoes, badminton, a pig roast and yes this year looks like to be a bumper salmon return. Ticket sales for the Derby entry and pig roast have been fantastic with over 80 tickets sold. Not to mention that there have been 17 of the 20 RV camping spots already bought. We will keep you posted on Derby winners and catches.
