We couldn’t have been happier with how the weather turned out this Easter! With families visiting this weekend, the unseasonably warm weather gave all of us at Englewood Village a chance to enjoy some of the local wildlife found in Chilliwack.

Englewood Courtyard is centrally located near numerous trails that you can walk, run, bike and even horseback ride along! Inspired by the beautiful Easter weather, we are launching a series of blog posts, which will reveal the different trails easily accessible to residents of Englewood Village. And because we are nestled alongside mountain ridges, there are trails for all experience levels, whether you’re looking to take a relaxing stroll or run up a mountain – we have you covered!

Our inaugural trail is Vedder River.

Just down the road from Englewood Village, the Vedder River trail is practically in your backyard. The Rotary Club and City of Chilliwack partnered up to make improvements along the 15-kilometer trail. The Vedder River trail is a great route for beginners and is known for its beauty. The route expands from Vedder Crossing to Keith Wilson Bridge, and has many spots along the trail for you to stop and spend your day, including public beach areas and salmon fishing. You can even make a detour and enjoy the activities at Cultus Lake. Or if you choose, you can go off the trail to visit the Great Blue Heron Reserve, which has wetland trails to walk, an observation tower to explore and, of course, a heron colony.

Check back in the coming weeks as we highlight some of the other great trails available to residents at Englewood Village.
